I am Raghini and I love to run.
You may have heard this story umpteen times, but it is true and hence here it is once more.
Fitness was the last thing on my mind in my 20s. I was working late nights, eating junk, earning well, travelling, having fun at any available moment. Riding my bike occasionally (and very slowly) was the closest to any kind of exercise I got for a decade! A lot of pizzas, biscuits, namkeen, coke and general unhealthy eating when combined with laziness resulted in me looking like this.
This is the picture of me that I hate the most. I am putting it up here as a reminder to myself.
I have written about My journey from couch potato to HM previously on the blog. As much as running has changed so much about life in our household, Adi and I get immense pleasure in getting other people to discover the love of running. Believe us, once you try it, you will be hooked. I speak an awful lot about running and read a ton of good stuff too (some good reads will come up here) and you can follow them all here.
In 2016, I will be working on my core strength and building a good running base with a focus on technique. I hope to run my first marathon in the process. I am aiming to train as a running coach and a sports therapist in the coming couple of years. Runlicious is going to be the space where you can follow me on this journey, push me to train, take inspiration and run with me (virtually or in person). Please do leave a comment or ping me on twitter or email me if you want to chat about anything (or anyone) running.
